Oscar and Mya were the only surviving puppies born to Momma Bellona, a stray taken to a local ER vet. Bellona was emaciate and riddled with cancer; she made the best out of her time with us and gave us Oscar and Mya as her last gift unto the world. She will never be forgotten, as she touched everyone who met her, and her babies are thriving and were adopted together!

Titus was found at just 5 weeks old, wandering down the middle of the street in a not-so-great area; a good samaritan scooped him up and searched and searched for his home, knocking on door after door. No one ever came forward to claim him and he was adopted to an amazing Mom.

Sid and Nancy came from a litter of pups that we offered to help, that were being sold on Facebook. Both were adopted and are very much loved and adored.

Jack and Diane came to us when they were the last of their litter to be sold. When their mom came to meet one of them, she saw how much they loved each other and decided on the spot that they would stay together with her.

Sonata was a young pup picked up in a city with BSL; she was likely unclaimed because the owners didn't want to face getting in trouble for having her. After her hold was up, she went into foster care and was adopted, she now lives the life of luxury and adventure.
-
Nina was brought up from TN to one of our local shelters; she was adopted out, and within a week, she was placed on Craigslist. Nina was young, but was very timid and almost semi-feral. She ended up really coming out of her shell and thriving when she met her big brother, a working GSD.

Rogue and Verde were found by a good samaritan after they were dumped in a rural area. The good sam took them in and contacted some people and they came to be a part of RHAR. Both have been adopted and are living the life they always deserved.
-
Zoey was rescue-only at a local animal shelter because she had a fractured pelvis. As her foster mom helped her to heal, she fell in love and knew she would never be able to let her go.
-
Stella was being sold on Craigslist; she was handed over in a parking lot without even a goodbye or second glance back. She was quite the little diva, and never stops reminding her new family of it.
-
Sadie was adopted from a local animal shelter, but the adopter decided they didnt want her when they realized she was visually impaired. She became part of the rescue, where it was soon realized that she was quite pregnant. Soon, Sadie had a beautifully diverse litter of pups, who all found homes quickly. When Sadie went in to be spayed, it was discovered that she was also heartworm positive. Thankfully, her adopter had her back and she made a full recovery and is enjoying a calm and relaxing life where she is the center of attention.

Mollie is a street dog from Mexico that landed with Ruff House thanks to one of our awesome and dedicated volunteers. Ironically, her adopters daughters family is from the same city in Mexico where Mollie was found - talk about fate!
-
George and his brother Lenny were brought into an ER clinic on the brink of death; they suffered from strangulation, head trauma, puppy strangles, and parasites. Thankfully they survived! Both were adopted, sadly his brother Lenny was returned and is still with us awaiting his perfect forever home.
-
Drex was rescue-only at a local shelter because he was cage aggressive. After a failed adoption left him with a fear of other dogs, he finally found a family willing to help him work through all his issues.
-
Baby Huey was rescue-only at a local shelter after he was adopted out and supposedly nipped a child in the home (the family stated their were no children in the home). This derp was easily a foster-fail and has successfully lived in a home with kids, cats, and other animals.
-
Chase was bounced around to four different homes, all before he was even 5 months old. He was as close to an insta-dog as you can get, so we just couldn't understand?! He was quickly adopted and is living his best life with his fur sibling.
-
Brutus was adopted from a local APL and the family decided he was "too much dog" for their young child. He found a family in Michigan, and while he has really given them a run for their money, he is a loved addition to their home.
-
Bella was surrendered because she was too much of a puppy... a puppy that had never been trained... and replaced by a shih tzu puppy... She now serves as an emotional support dog to her mom and family.
-
Arlo was picked up as a stray by a local animal shelter; this boucing goof ball was quickly adopted and rounded out his family perfectly.
